Please use the forms and guides on this page to assist you with understanding our process and requirements. We strive to be transparent in our application, permitting and inspection processes. We do update this page from time to time as we become aware of any informational needs of our District’s property owners, tenants, permittees and contractors.
The West County EMS & Fire Protection District serves areas of the community that also have other governmental bodies with jurisdiction over various codes and zoning matters. These entities include combinations of St. Louis County Public Works as well as the City of Ballwin, City of Manchester, City of Town & Country, City of Twin Oaks, City of Valley Park and the City of Winchester. Each of those entities adopts their own codes, amendments, ordinances and/or zoning regulations. No information provided in any guides herein nor any codes adopted by the West County EMS & Fire Protection District directly overrule, supersede or replace any other jurisdictional requirements, nor do any of their requirements overrule, supersede or replace any of the codes or requirements of this District. Each of the jurisdictional processes remains separate and distinct from those of this District. Engagement of the other authorities having jurisdiction should occur as early into the planning or due diligence phase as possible. If you are unsure of which agencies have jurisdictional authority for an address in our district, we would be happy to try to help you navigate which entities you will need to contact for work on commercial properties. St. Louis County’s online parcel information which shows jurisdictional information for any given parcel is located here.
